Americans on xbox live

Just tell them when is their next hormone injections due?

I just dont bother with XBL anymore. but for differsant reasons.
 
You should just return the favour and go all out old-school classical British English on them to really annoy the hell out of them. Get some revenge whilst have a laugh to yourself. :D
 
Well you could always use the pc to play online games - there are dedicated servers and no matchmaking.

Oh, wait...
 
It's for these reasons I don't play LIVE anymore unless it's with people I know, I just stick to PSN now for random matchmaking etc as it just seems to have friendlier users with mics.
 
Some American's say that I'm unusual for not abusing them, so I guess it's a vicious circle.. While I never expected it to start with, I get on fine with the majority and when I'm in a party with them I'm always the only non-American there.

We do have a fair range of accents and some of them are hard to understand if your not used to them.. I've been in a party with half a dozen English speakers all trying to work out what the other's are saying :D
 
Never really had a problem with the yanks.
Mainly play COD4 so if i'm on in the morning they may be on but usually on a night there are less off them on due to the time difference.
I do find that a lot of them a very racist towards other americans, so I tend to let them get on with it.[
 
Hello, big up the Burnley massive, I am from Burnley and still live close by in Todmorden.

Just give them some of your best burnley abuse back, it isn't hard to outsmart your average yank.

Let me get this straight - so you'd condone this kind of behaviour it if the player had a posh accent ?. I'm not posh but you do sound quite hypocritical.
 
i normally just ignore them or turn the volume on the mic down, no point in baiting them even more if you do your taking yourself down to there level,it works for me most of the time

You've got to remember that because you have a British accent they think you sound posh whether you would sound posh to us or not...
 
TBH most of the times I've heard abuse between British and American/other nationality people over XBL, it's been the British guy who's started it.

And it wasn't me either :)
 
Me and my friend recently came across some Americans on Uncharted 2. They thought we were Irish??? And kept saying stereotypical Irish sayings like "Top of the Morning" to us, we responded by killing them and it seemed to shut them up.
 
Only ever had annoying Americans on live a couple of times but I don't talk on my mic much on public games, I got told to go brush my teeth and go drink my cup of tea

I'm from Burnley too, and i visit the USA quite a lot, its funny when they look at you after you've said something to them, and you can tell they didnt understand a word of it.

Last time i was there, i was asked where in canada i was from lol
 
meh, it's mostly just banter, i find the little English spoilt brat chav kids FAR worse than American adults or even American kids.

you know when chatting to an american adult there's going to be a bit of banter, some jingoism and a bit of a laugh about each others heritage, american kids can be a bit over the top with their excitability and sure there'll be the occasional racist but having played some games with some kids from liverpool/manc i'd say the American racists are practically charming in comparison.
