I have been havign a few little bugs with outlook, but nothing too major, seems to be ok so far though in other office programs..

Bumping this. Does anyone know if any of the anti-virus apps out there work with outlook 2010? Don't like the idea of my mail being unprotected

Not tried 2010 yet, but 2007 is the best yet for writing serious documents. Least bugs of any version, and a very nice UI. I found 2007 wiped the floor with 2003. So pleased to be document writing on 2007, and looking forward to trying 2010.

I love the ribbon in Office 2007. Excellent little thing. Shame I can't get the Technical Preview. Should be able to get it via MSDNAA when it comes out though =D

Are they not running a public beta at some point for it?

Applied to the beta yonks ago, nothing. Shame. I was an Office 2007 beta tester, aswell as a Vista and a 7 tester.

I've not used it much, but I can already tell it's going to be a lot better than 2007.

There was nothing wrong with 2007 IMO, but 2010 will be better.

I was on the Technical Preview program of Office 2010, and found it good. The Beta is coming in November, great.

What works for an organisation isn't necessarily the best idea for a home user. Schools are strapped for cash and are probably running old OSes, so upgrading Office doesn't make sense. Doesn't mean that Office 2007 isn't miles better than 97 (because it is!)

Having looked at the new features in 2010 I'm not really very excited. It left me thinking 'is that all you've done in three years?'. Whilst I'll wait for people to make more use of it before properly bashing it, I think I'll probably skip this update and stay on 2007.
