Oh nothing major, but as I got out of my car outside my house this afternoon, I looked round and saw an empty can of coke rolling on the pavement. This kid, probably about 12, was the culprit. I said "did you just drop that??" He said " yeah?" with a tone of 'what you gonna do about it'. I said "why don't you pick it up then" with a stone cold face to show him I mean business, and a tone that was calm, assertive but which made him know I won't take any crap from him. He actually picked it up, said nothing and walked on, lol. I said "thank you". He'll probably come back and try and kick my headlights in, so I've hidden the car. :D

Can't stand these cheeky little prats, I mean christ, dropping a can on the pavement and outside where I live, it's ridiculous.

Hardly crime of the century.

Not the point. The point is, I hate [southmead]chavvy kids[/southmead] and their rubbish behaviour, and any chance I get to have a go at them, they're gonna get it.

Unleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeess..... they're with their mates. :p

LOL

Chavvy kids because he dropped a can.

You seriously saying you've never littered?

Love how you came onto the internet to tell the tale of telling off a 12 year old. :p

Hardly crime of the century.

Also, where was he cheeky at all in the one word he said?

16+ then OK, but 12?

I don't know how old he was, he might have been older. Who cares? He was cheeky with his attitude after dropping a can on the street. You put up with that ****? Good for you.

It's a shame more people don't say something when they see kids drop litter but who wants to risk being stabbed by a gang of 12 yr olds

Littering is a good way of identifying scummers.

The option to dump something on the street as soon as you're finished with it shouldn't even cross the mind.

Why did you say thank you to the prat for picking up the can that he dropped outside your house ?

Because he probably gets abuse for the same thing at home. By saying thank you he realises I was being decent and not a complete a.hole.

This annoys me too though, it's very irritating when there's people littering near where you live. The front steps to my block of flats get covered in rubbish every day from kids at the local college about 20m down the road. They tend to sit on our steps, play music from their phones, shout and litter.

I want to say something but it's not worth it for the potential problems - these kids are around 18 years old and don't really fancy aggravating them for nothing.
