Right my single 160gb intel SSD ( as advised ) has arrived with windows 7. I currently use Asus P6T mb should i just plug the ssd into the standard SATA connections ?

Cheers.

Andrew.

yes, make sure that you don't connect it to the SATA's which are run off the JMicron Controller, but rather the one's that are run off the Southbridge.

No it will be Sata2.

I think Nate meant to use the first Sata controller, the Intel one.

I'd take out any other hdd's while you install, just plug them back in after install.

Also if you run into any issues at install, try again with just the mouse and kboard in the USB ports.

Mine installed first time, not one driver required as it dloads the latest drivers as it installs.

Win7 defo a big step in the right direction for microsoft.
Just a pity they didnt offer an upgrade path for all the muppets like me who arent long having bought Vista.

Grr.
