The all encompassing BNP thread - keep all crap in here.

Well that tory women said that MOST BNP supporters was not racist.
So do you think she told lies?

Actually she said most BNP voters were not racist. Which doesn't mean the party itself isn't racist. I personally disagree with her and tend to think that most BNP voters are either racist or stupid. Primarily because any policy of theirs that isn't racist is populist rubbish that makes a good sound bite but an awful idea if implemented.

No shes right, most people who vote for them are not racist, they just have had enough of the stupid immigration problems we currently have due to this terrible government. BNP are the only party willing to tackle it(although obviously extreme)

I disagree.

There is nothing wrong with Muslims or whoever being allowed in.

What needs to happen is that anyone who is allowed in has the skills that are of use to us, and is prepared to accept our culture and integrate into it.

Aaaaah a sensible post, regardless of anything, if you want to move here at least show an interest in the country and have some input into improving the country.

By the time someone becomes prime minister (or even leader of the opposition) they will have had hugely more experience of live or hostile TV audiences, being on TV in front of millions of people etc. than Nick has had.

True, but Nick did look hugely unconfident throughout the show, as the leader of a right-wing political party you would think he would be able to handle himself better in sticky situations of which he must have been in many times before during his political career.

Just out of interest are you in support or against the BNP and Nick Griffin and their political agenda, no witch hunt just of interest to me thats all? And of course you dont have to answer :)

In this case, they possibly do. Refusal to be honest about party believes and the press then representing you as your party believes would seem to redress the balance a little. Griffin refuses to be honest about what his party (constitutionally) stand for in interviews, but the constitution is publicly available, as are their polices and stances on issues such as miscegenation. Reporting Griffin's words in a way compliant with the beliefs of his party are a good retort to his refusal to be honest.

And the refusal of Sayeeda Hussain Warsi to admit that she hates gay people on the show.
What a bunch of liars the tories are.

i agree with this too, but to add that most people that vote for the BNP because they have had enough of the "stupid immigration" dont really know what the BNP really stand for

As was pointed out on the show, most of their voters feel there is nothing else they can do if they want the issue handled. Although not sure I would agree with that.

It doesn't, and the question asked doesn't imply that.

The BNP state (unfortunately I can't get on the site properly at the moment) that they will use legal, finanicial and social programs to encourage people to return to their country of ethnic origin (including people born in the UK). Or in other words, they will make their lives miserable and then offer them some money go somewhere else.

It's not compulsory, but if it was employment, it would be constructive dismissal.

The trouble is, QT doesn't lend itself to analysing such an issue due to the format of the show, which only allows the panelists a very limited time to speak - I would be surprised if Griffin got much more than five or so minutes of speaking time out of the whole hour. The issue of voluntary repatriation just on its own could fill an hour's programme and longer, if the issue were truly to be debated in full. When Griffin is only given say 30 seconds he needs to be succinct and cannot get into details, that isn't his fault, it is the fault of the show's format.

Something that Jack Straw has managed where I live
Straw is a hypocrite, remember his comments on the Muslim veil?

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk_politics/5413470.stm

I agree with his comments there, but he only pays lip service to it, because in the next breath he is pandering to Muslims and castigating the BNP for daring to suggest that Islam isn't a very nice religion.

BBC Article said:
And a BNP spokesman complained that the programme had focused entirely on Mr Griffin's views and ignored newsworthy stories such as the postal strike, Afghanistan and Europe.

"This was not a normal Question Time," he told BBC Radio 4's Today programme. "It was 'let's have a go at Nick Griffin time'."

Heh...
