A Lupo would have the same Tax class as a Mondeo - Private/light goods (TC11). Vosa have no designation to what size cars are :/

I think you are mistaking interesting with bone crushing boredom.

(@OcUK mondeo fan club, I'm not saying it's bad, it's actually good in many ways, just isn't obscure at all).

yes ok to the op. follow these peoples advice and get an mx5 as a first car. i'm assuming she will be on your insurance? you're also right to have concerns about her lack of driving experience and having a sports car as a first car.

odds on it ending up in a hedge?

An MX-5 costs the same to insure than my Fiesta
An MX-5 does not have enough power to kill you
RWD is perfectly safe, if not safer than FWD in some circumstances

Depends on driving style/skill.

A FWD car can be set up to handle panic reactions quite safely.
