Freemasonary....

I've been out on a few masons outings & dinner dances, seem a nice bunch of blokes to me. I'm a member of my Local Lions club, who are similar to masons in respect to fundraising for charity, I wouldn't have the time to be a mason as well.

Council workers, police officers and SME business leaders join the Masons. Illuminati is where its at........I was never here right!

My uncle was a grand master, you can only hold that position for a year though.

so it basically means **** all as almost every single one of the old codgers in the lodge gets to be one....

@ the OP - they are basically a bunch of old blokes who like to meet for lunch regularly, have a a few traditions/bit of ceremony and tend to raise a lot of money for charity.

if you're looking for nepotism/conspiracies/collusion amongst the upper classes then you're more likely to find it in golf clubs, old boys associations and gentlemen's clubs in the west end.

Anybody watch the LOST SYMBOL Program the other night on this??

Some of peoples thoughts on them make me laugh

Freemasons are dirty, they run the country, if we got rid of them the country would be better off, one of the royals is something like the head free mason in the world, ive worked with a big freemason and the things he told me one night when he was drunk was sick and i dont mean a cool type of sick i mean satanic sick, i say, shoot them all, stand them up against a wall and put a bullet in each and everyone.

yes dear, of course they are.

Lastly Freemasons is a religion - they worship Satan - they believe Satan was the good one and God is the evil one! Madness

Lol. You have to believe in God to be a Freemason, you can be of any faith as long as you're a believer and go to whatever church you're affiliated to. :)

Just started reading Dan Brown's: The Lost Symbol if people want a good read on this subject.
Mostly Fiction though

Nick Griffin's dad Edgar is/was a senior Freemason . . .
Wikipedia said:
Griffin has been a Freemason since 1947. Among many senior Masonic appointments, he has been Worshipful Master and Worshipful Commander. Only two other Masons have held Grand Rank for longer than Edgar Griffin, who received the Grand Rank of Assistant Grand Inner Guard in 1962.
Funny? I nearly urinated down my rolled-up trouser leg :D

You have to believe in God to be a Freemason

Not accurate. You simply have to acknowledge that there could be a higher being. You do not have to explain yourself, you do not need to describe that being, you just simply have to acknowledge that you are not the be all and end all, and that someone or something is 'higher' than you. A few of my friends in the mason's used the theory of relativity as their "higher being", for example.

Wow, this thread is full of rubbish. You can tell the posts made by the "kids" who are unable to see through clear rubbish and conspiracy they read on the internet, and those made by adults who can reason in a mature manner.

I know quite a lot of masons and am reasonably close to some, i recently attended a garden party for a lodge, 100 masons and their familys all having a nice afternoon together raising money for charity - nothing dodgy, just good food, lots of chat and a raffle. Raised several thousand pounds in one afternoon.

They arent satanists, they arent evil, they simple help each other and the community out, its not very secret, those who believe it is are poorly informed.

Agree on everything you have said, i know just one Mason. My parents were invited to a lodge evening of Bingo and drinks etc. Afterwards a tour visting some areas of the lodge and a brief history.

Its strange how people can't accept that something like this can exist without having an alternative motive....LOL

My uncle has been one for years and is/weas a grandmaster of his lodge. He'd never divulge any 'secrets'. They do raise a lot for charity. I remeber he had to recite word for word an 18 page chapter of the bible for one ceremony or another....18 pages!?

Recently i found out about 4 of my ex work collegues whom i occasionally meet up with for a meal are all in the masons....two are grandmaster and they have indoctrinated the other two. What's barely believable is that one of the new members is a 31 year old jack-the-lad.....and the very LAST person i'd ever think would be a mason.
But, having thought about it, i think he joined for the networking and hand-up in his career i guess.

Masons? Yeah they know stuff......stuff that could get ya killed, ya hear me?!
