Seriously whats with the hatred from console users? I have both a console and PC and dont feel the need to start arguments over the differences. All you're doing is showing that perhaps the age/intelligence of the average console user is incredibly low.

We're annoyed that they're ripped out the backbone of the game, and IW arent going to listen however we put the point across.

Hatred? Questioning my intelligence? Behave. Nothing you've posted has indicated you're a step above me my friend. Nothing I've posted has been to annoy anyone in here or has been insulting - but I notice it didn't take you very long to chime in. You're just not open to other (different) opinions that's all. Ones that are legit and make more sense than some of the inane ramblings that have been posted about IW and the casual (majority) gamers.

How does asking for a basic function of pretty much every fps multiplayer game to be included come over as elitist.

But what can we do, other than boycott, rant on forums, digg it, spam 1 star amazon reviews etc ? Should we all promise to buy 2 copies of the game if they will only put in dedi servers ? maybe offer to bake them a cake ?

Heck this rabid approach worked on EA when they insisted on limited activations on Spore plus other games, they never will admit to it but I think the PC community reaction got them to change direction and many of their games have dropped the limited activation version of SecuROM, so I believe there is a precident here for this kind of action to actually be effective.

It's probably far to late of Modern Warfare 2 on PC, like most companies they will be to full of themselves to reverse course on this. Time will tell though and I can only see a couple of things happening. Either they quietly patch in dedicated servers down the road whilst never admiting to making a huge mistake, or they stick to their guns, PC sales are dreadful and they just don't bother with PC versions anymore. I seriously suspect the next CoD game will be console only.

If I was in IW's shoes I certainly wouldn't be bullied in to doing what is being asked, especially HOW it is being asked. It's a backfire of epic proportions. There's a right way and a wrong way to go about doing things and unfortunately they've chosen the latter.

If you had come together in the way a community can (should) to resolve issues rather than just all jumping on the boycott bandwagon and posting crappy messages here, on IW's board and all over the internet who knows what would have happened instead.

Well your not speaking for me as i have not signed a petition or cancelled a pre order as i don't pre order games anyway.

I would have never bought any COD game on the consoles even if there was no PC version.
As far as im concerned you have offered nothing but waffle with if people had asked nicely in this situational as if that has ever worked before & you have offered no feasible solution.
All you have done is complain about people complaining about something that does not concern you.

It would be no different than a Console player complaining to PC gamers complaining about most FPS on the PC have only Joy-pad support from now on & Console players saying what's all the fuss about.

It does not concern you in as in effect you if your primary gaming platform is the consoles as what is being offered on the PC version is no less than your used to so even if you do buy the PC version what difference will it make to you.

People who are used to a higher standard of service & features have every right to complain regardless if that level of service & features never mattered to you.

Alienating myself ? i'm just disagreeing with you & if you cant handle that then that's an issue for you to deal with.

People submit good players for ''wallhacking'' ''aimbots'' etcetc and person loses all VAC games :confused:.
 
people submitt good players for wallhacking on normal so no difference and tbh cod 4 is over run with hacks. not defending the game but pb is basically a joke.

maybe a switch over could get rid of a lot of made hacks short term but in the long run different story .

Oh dear, what do you reckon we should have done? Flown to the us or wherever its made and picketed the place? I dont think IW would have changed their decision whatever the pc gamers did, but they know now people arent happy, and that they will lose sales, even if its only a drop in the ocean to what they will earn overall.
