Best fantasy RPG in years. Oblivion was a more open ended, sandbox type of game in comparison ( and nowhere near as good imo ). The Witcher is a more linear, story driven affair - and it excels in this regard.

If you like RPG's then it will be £11.49 well spent :)
 
I only just finish downloading stalker off steam about an hour ago....

Now looks like am going be buying & downloading this game...

O-well gives my 2mb line a good workout :p
 
yep ive got this problem too - simply cant buy it. i was worried my card was playing up.

Hope they sort it pronto otherwise it wont download in time tonight.

I think so, the Directors Cut version was mainly for the US, it put back in some of the sex/topless ladies that they cut (but kept in the euro versions)
 
Damn it. This is just what I did not need right now. More so with Dragon Age arround the corner. Thank God for no longer needing to buy MW2!

I've got the standard version but it's such a pain in the backside to update to Enhanced edition I just cant be bothered. Worth it for that price though!
 
Was literally just thinking about this game this morning, and how I wonder where I can get it for cheap. And boom! Here it is on a weekend deal!

Exactly the reason why I'm considering it. I bought the game off gamesplanet and it's just a pain to install as I have to keep getting a special auth code from them every 3 installs or so. Updating that game to the Enhanced edition iirc took me days as the patch files were a mess to download :/

For that price I'm better off with the steam version.

Edit: Great :rolleyes: The same stupid error upon purchasing that I got with Steam Mass Effect a month ago. Rubbish.

Steam error being reported all over the place.
Seems based around the special offers failing to initialise on purchase, no matter what format of payment is attempted.
It appears to have been this way for most of today going by timestamps.

Good way to lose money, make a limited time offer then b0rk payment system :( Whoops.
 
Grr, the piece of crap is still not working. Just when I have a long night alone at home free from work tomorrow to play this :(
 
Well when this happened with EA's Mass Effect just a month ago or so, it was sorted the next day :/
