A return of the crx vtec would be better. An S2000 lump in a crx would fit. Ah dreams![]()
A hell of a lot of difference.
What like this? 2010 Honda CR-Z. 1.5 VTEC engine with IMA and a 6 speed manual.

ECU, engine internals, corner weighting, intake, exhaust, complete suspension, complete brakes, wheels, weight stripping for a start. Plus it's all fully warranted.
and with all that it's still only the same bhp as a jdm type-r with a inferior base chassis.

Last time I looked, a JDM Type R is not 240ps. Also, this is faster than the JDM Mugen RR round a track.
Maybe he means the FD2 (4 door Type R in Japan)
I know he means the FD2 and as I say, the last time I looked, the stock FD2 is not 240ps.

This is a nice car, but not 25k worth of motor, let alone 38.5k!
Honda want an additional 15k+ for 40BHP, corner weighting/coil over suspension and interior stripping???
I suspect it drives well, but I'd wager its no faster than an R26.R which has greater straight line potential and much higher power potential.
It has lapped a few tracks quicker than the R26.R, plus you don't have a roll cage and plastic windows.
If you was to take a road going FN2 and mod it to the extreme that this has been then it'd cost a lot more.
Why would anyone buy one of these for track use when they could buy an M3 CSL which would destroy it on both track and road. Nearly 40k for a 240BHP hot hatch, sorry but no, its worth no more than 25k at best.
