Whats this screen like for the price? My 24" Samsung 2433 has broke again and will be replacing it. This is only £55 more for 28" Is it just big but a poor panel/quality?

generally accepted as poop on a stick. Look out for the 23" e-ips NEC. OCUK are supposedly getting a few in tomorrow.

I have one. The panel isn't as good as some other monitors I have seen but it's sheer size makes up for it - especially if you're a gamer. If you're heavily into image/video editing etc. then look elsewhere.

Prob. the best bit of kit I have bought for my PC - can't see me swapping it for anything!

I don't see what a 28" gaming panel gives you. I'd have thought sat that close to it it would be pretty useless for fps and the like. Review put it as a poor panel even for a tn, made up by sheer real estate. Given the resolution and panel size it isn't going to be a very crisp picture either.

The Hanns g is a good monitor for the price and size. Not the greatest viewing angle but nice rich colours and clear display. I would not go back to a lesser size now, it would be rude.

I've had one for coming up to a year now. Great piece of kit for the money. Don't expect industry topping colour reproduction or viewing angles. However the size and screen real estate can't be beaten for the money.

Make sure you use these settings...

I have my brightness down to 30, they are super duper bright panesl.

I've no idea if they are calibrated to any standard, but its a darn sight nicer than out of the box!

Backlight bleed is pretty bad imo. But I'm yet to see a monitor which doesn't have it pretty bad.
