What are the consequences...

cause i paid a fortune on the car, tax, mot and Insurance.!!!

and am a student :p

well park the car

and save yourself on fuel and walk till you can afford tyres.

We kid you not, illegal tyres are 3 points and £60 each. So thats £120 fine and you loose your license and have to re take it

Its what £60 to re-take your test. Plus any top up lessons you might need to get rid of unhealthy habbits (like becomming a wheel shuffler again !)

So thats over £200 before you even start.

Take the bus and save.

don't go to kwik fit, find a local independent will be cheaper and won't try and rip you off. Shame the taxi guy aint here anymore or he would know where to go in glasgow.

you dont

untill the tyres cause you to plough into a child at a pelican crossing because they couldnt stop you quick enough.

Worst case scenario granted, but it can still happen. Biggest problem with poor condition tyres is A) how easily the car can loose control and B) how poor their braking performance is.

You wont burn through 2mm of tyre tread in the space of a week or two in a non supercar without spending an evening in Maccy D's doing burnouts.

With a lot of very harsh/demanding driving you can. You don't need a turbo to wheelspin either. Obviously depends on the rubber too I should say..
