Anyone here absolutlely bum the hell out of the ps3?

I can't believe how much of a fanboy this console has made me. Don't get me wrong, It's very hard to impress me I always have to have the best camera's, tv's monitors and what have you. But When I buy somthing that really impresses me It does feel great. It really is an incredible piece of kit. Such a massive amount of exlusives, everyone simply fantastic in it's own way. Ratchet and clank is gorgeous and so much fun, heavenly sword is stunning in every way, gt5 prologue, metal gear solid, uncharted series absolutely anihalates everything else out there, killzone 2, resistance series, little big planet. Heavy water and god of war in the near future, I mean you don't even have to touch a multi platform release and you would still be spoilt for choice on great games!

And not only does it have the most fantastic games, it has a blu ray player too! Blu ray movies just look amazing. Alongside free psn, web browsing and the physical look of it is just lovely!

I really am blown away by it, I mean even sony themselves are even in massive debt due to the epic lengths they have gone too to make this thing the best it can be.

Anyone else singing the praises of their ps3?

The old ones seem really good quality.

The slim is exactly the same but isn't anywhere near as "impressive" imo.

It's probably because the console has been treated poorly by the media and gamers for the last 3 years whereas in fact it can proudly stand alongside the competition.

The actual games certainly haven't been as memorable this gen imo, despite the fact that some are amazingly made.

Is it wrong that the game that has impressed me most is a 2D fighter? (BlazBlue)

I mean I've spent hours and hours on games such as CoD 4 online but it's not like I'll be raving about how good CoD was in a few years time.

Dont really get on with it because the controller is terrible in comparison to the xbox, demoted to bluray player only at the minute.

Funny I find the opposite true as the 360 controller feels far to big and bricky IMO

I'm in the PS3 gets used loads and 360 is gathering dust brigade, which is probably a minority but I just prefer using the PS3 for some reason, even for multiplats.

Well my UK one was £425 (console only) and my JP one was £501

The price is a lot more even now for sure though, but a lot of the PS3's reputation comes from the launch.

My ps3 sits proud in the lounge connected to the amp and 43 inch pioneer

Its networked and i stream movies and music to it. Does not get uses much as a games console as i still do most of my game playing on my pc.
