***OFFICAL*** Left 4 Dead Thread!

OcUK 3 appears to be up again, it is still set to public however so I can make sure it stays running. If you can Delboy can you keep an eye on it too? As I currently have no access to hlsw.

DBD is currently being uploaded to OcUK 1 + 2 I am told.
 
Has anyone tried the maps beyond the first level? Just interested to know if there any other problems and if so, which maps they occur on?
 
Ocuk servers eh how do i access them, total n00b here only got this game yesterday had a few games of versus and its a eye opener lol, specially knowing the best way to use infected.

(without the quotes) into the console when in lobby.

It's also worth noting that while they are called OCUK servers, they have no official affiliation with the OCUK forums - we just used the name to associate with the community and are hosted by forum members (Link, FrenchTart and Myself (Defrag))

Just played Dead Before Dawn on both coop advanced and Versus. Good fun really for the first 3 maps on both then versus breaks with the maze level and the end of the maze level breaks for coop. Needs fixing really. Lots of potential though and before then it's good fun. :)
 
I wonder if we will see that potential, Link. Having spent so much time in the editing tools, I have great admiration for those who develop these maps. After trying to fill out an entire level, you realise the massive amount of effort a good map takes.

I feel kind of sorry for the guy who did DBD because he had loads of pressure to release it for Halloween - although it was his own deadline. I suppose the near release of L4D2 has also put a lot of pressure on him.

If I had to suggest a campaign for anyone to play Coop, I would consider Detour Ahead and Heaven Can Wait, but probably go with Suicide Blitz.

Can anyone confirm that Suicide Blitz fully works with Versus? I only really want to upload to the servers it if it does.

OK, will get uploaded to one of the ocuk servers as soon as I get the chance. :)

@Tefal, wow, so for once the "snooze" indicator on Steam was accurate! No worries man we invited Shark instead. :)
 
Bah! Once i complete the first map on DBD, i get a runtime error and have to quit. To play the other maps i have to join a campaign that has already started the second map and progress from there.

No idea why the first map causes my PC problems :(
