When your mum tries to add you as a friend on Facebook...

Add her to her own group with everything hidden. Eventually she'll see you have no life (as it's all hidden) and turn to drink to compensate for her failings as a mother.

Or just man up and add her. Mother's have done or seen EVERYTHING you have. More or less.

You haven't told her about the brand new diesel Golf you bought and you are embarrased - that's the truth isn't it. :D

My old man added me, he keeps challenging me to Sudoko and other such rubbish games.

He doesn't make any comments though really, which is fair enough. He's a joker any ways, so anything which I put up which is slightly risky, he'd see the funny time.

It's only a matter of time though before the old dear is up... Everytime I get a friends request I'm very nervous to open it!

as has been said add her but restrict what she can see, my mum added me and soon learnt it was better not to look at my pictures

privacy tab does wonders.

can single her out so her access is very restricted.

Yup id do this...ive done it to most of my family members on FB...not that i use the damn thing all that much now lol...but it helps keep them out of the more private stuff ie gf sending me silly lovey dovey messages :p

i posted a status update with a lot of 4 letter words. one of my aunts took exception and commented 'i think you should tone your language down'. I managed to restrain myself from any of the obvious responses (gt*o MY fb, or 'ever heard of the 'hide' button, or instant blockage) and just deleted the comment. As if I'm going to moderate my facebook for my older relatives...

My Mum can't even work facebook. Her mate did add me though..and a friends Mum... My Dad uses Facebook but even said "If you don't want to add me, to keep SOME privacy, you don't have to", win.

I had similar, I posted a particularly wound up status and got asked by a family member irl if I was ok, they didn't say anything but they were clearly a bit shocked

My dad tried adding me to his Facebook, but I just told him outright that I didn't want him on there. It's bad enough having my sister in law on there asking me about my status updates:/

He got all grumpy with me for about a week, hehe - even my mum told him she wouldn't want him on there if she were me! :D

I'd just be honest with my mum :p I'd tell her I merely don't want her as a friend on facebook because I don't want her to see pictures of me drunk and doing stupid stuff with my mates :p

I can't see a problem.
Both of my daughters (who are in their 20's) have added me and we can all see each other in embarassing situations.

eg
Lol Daddy, how drunk are you?

That's just wierd when you have such a close relationship with your parents that you can talk like that...

Am so jealous :( :p

My mother added me on Facebook and I don't see it as a problem at all. :p Maybe because I don't really misbehave and people generally don't post porn on my Wall... Also, me and my mother have an awesome relationship so even if such a thing did happen, it would not present a problem. ;)

Hope this helps. :p

John Butler Trio said to Treat your momma with respect man, wtf you thinking :p

I didn't, I said to her "mum why are you trying to add me on facebook?"

I don't really want her spying in on all the ****ed up **** i do. She doesn't even know the half of it, and she's already not happy with my drinking habbits :D

Mum's on mine. Mine, not yours. Don't see the problem with it really. Still bosh out the rape jokes on my status updates, I think everyone appreciates that I'm a complete helm!
