First review I've seen of Supercar Challenge for the PS3 go live. Quite positive, and I generally agree with their reviews so should be good.

I find that they seem to love absolutely every game they review, they're not nearly critical enough of a game's faults.

Looks like its got some not so bad scores elsewhere a couple of 8/10s, problem with this game review wise is that its not releasing in the US as yet so will have to rely on UK/EU gaming press.

Whats the release date for this? It's pretty much a day 1 buy for me, won a beta key a few months ago, and I absolutely loved it with my wheel! The force feedback was perfect, and the handling felt unforgiving, just the way I like it

used the Sun beta test code today to try it.
graphics were a bit meh (i know, graphics aren't everything) as was the game itself.

Who likes the$e kind of review$
Ive never knew of a game thats gave away so many beta test versions.
Why not just offer a demo?

Will try the beta and consider buying this game just to satisify my disbelief of that review and to criticise it as what seems a commerical featurette than a review.
Well I also need to test it for compatibility with the GT3RS wheel list im doing.

After that its getting traded back in for something else unless it really is so amazing in its physics as the reviewer points out, err doubtfull.

its out now . and if you like pc style sim racing ,then this fits the bill perfectly .but colin mcrae fans look elsewhere...

Ferrari Challenge was a lot of fun and played very similarly to the likes of GTR and rFactor.

Wanted to get this but its not in either of the shops near me that sell games and they are both well known high street chains...are you sure its out today :confused:

yes its out i've got it , the store that i work in only got one copy !!!
it does seem strange but the retailers don't seem to have much faith in the title ,
the online beta always had people in it

Mine is preparing to ship so must be in stock. Between quidco and a discount voucher it ended up cheaper than the place who say its released next week.

I got my review copy through on Monday and have put some time into it since, and it's pretty decent. The driving engine is superb and you really have to be on the ball to control the cars and get the most out of them. A single mistake and you'll find yourself off the track and losing places quickly. A career mode isn't the best though, it should really look at something like Forza and take a leaf out of its book there. Still, if you're after a realistic driving game on the PS3 you'd struggle to do better than this, at least until GT5 appears.

How does this compare to Ferrari Challenge? Isn't it built using the same engine?

Hey,

Sorry for the epic bump, but I just found out about the Beta, and wanted to give it a go. Sign up was successful, but the key is not being recognised in PSN (triple checked it).

I assume the Beta has ended?
