We obviously have a lot of people on the forums that have the cards now, are you getting the performance that you expected and has it improved your gaming experience.

We see so many benchmarks with charts indicating fps @ res.. but as informative as it is, it does not give enough real world info.

How many of you are using eyefinity, would you recommend it.. do any of you have 30 inch displays running games at 2560 x 1600.. how is the performance..

I think those of us who are waiting in this long cue wold like to hear from people expressing their thoughts, the pros the cons etc!!!

personally i have gone from 2 x 4870 512mb crossfire to a single 5870 and love it.

Runs so much cooler, quieter, smoother gameplay and a lot less power hungry.

Performance wise it's on par with what i had previously but overclocks like a goodun.
i've hit the buffer on my CCC @ 900/1300 with not ill affects anywhere or heat issues.

i feel there is so much more to come from this

My TF2 fps min/max/avg have gone from 60/60/60 to 60/60/60 :D

(But I did manage finally to play Crysis and warhead on the top settings, 5870 isnt quite powerful enough on some levels in crysis on DX10 very high but warhead is fine)

Lol me thinks you need to turn off vsync or something there.

Very good card, powerful performance.

Straxusii are you getting 1920x1080 60hz or 50hz in crysis as I am getting 50hz, the only game that I have going at 50hz

I dont know to be honest, my monitor is 60hz and I didnt notice anything during the game that would make me think it wasnt 60hz

Well since i upgraded from a X1950PRO AGP system. yes it has! I'm now able to play a game made in 2009 :D

Great card and I can't fault it. Loved my GTX 280 but this is much better. Faster, Quieter and uses less power to boot. The only real issue is the price.

went from a 7950gt to 5870 in crossfire, lol as you would guess the difference is huge. i think the cards personally are amazing, very fast, run very cool, dont use up too much power. The only downside personally i have is that crossfire isnt supported enough and sometimes i feel like it was a waste getting 2 of these as the difference between 1 and 2cards is minimal in some games but hopefully they will improve it more and more in the future with better drivers.
