**The Dragon Age Origins Thread **

Anyone else had problems trying to install from the EA downloader? I downloaded the content during the week and it un-locked this morning with no problems. However when i try and install the game i get about 50% through and then get a data error.

I've tried a number of different things but it always gives the error in the same place, looks like i might need to download it again :(

Seems your not alone, the Bioware community site was frozen a while back, not checked it lately.
People were getting told they would get the email within 48 hours.

Mind you there are a lot of people who are happy :) You wont hear from then for a few months though :P

I had a problem the first time i tried to install it.
I redownloaded it and it then worked fine (took about 2 hours to redownload 7 gig on at 1mbps.
 
I'm quite annoyed with the EA bonus items system. There would have been no harm in sending out the codes a few days early, why have they waited til now and why up to 2 days after release? The +1% exp ring would only really be useful in the early stages - I hope these items aren't single character, i.e. when I start a replay all the items will be available again.

One of the many reasons I love Steam.
Got a corupt file, no problem, i'll just go re-download that for you :D
 
I love Steam.

The number of times I've rebuilt my computer, then following a reinstall of Steam all my games are sitting there in my account waiting to be downloaded and installed. Great system.

Hmm still no luck with the downloadable content. I should apparently have one piece of blood armour and the rings but nothing. My journal says 100% downloaded but I can't enable/use them.
 
German guy got a reply stating that the EADM DLC wont be ready till this afternoon or tonight.

Also anyone else getting a installation error with EADM?

Thank you for contacting Electronic Arts.

I apologize for the inconvenience this has caused you. But due to a delay the pre-order codes should be emailed to the address you used to purchase the game. You should be receiving the codes within these few days. I appreciate your patience.

In case of any issues please do not hesitate to contact us again.

I had no problems installing the game at all using the dlm.
 
In game you should see them listed under available content, they should download, extract and install. Once installed they should appear under the Installed Content tab. Think you have to double click them to enable.

When selecting them they should say "enabled" in green writing on the information panel.
