My sentiments exactly. N4G is the worst site on the internet for children arguing. If people argue so much about graphics, then they need to go and buy a PC and experience something like Crysis in 1920 x 1200 or higher.

Consoles are toys and cost at most £300 or so. I used to spend more than that every 2 months on repalcing graphics cards on my PC.

Im an ex-PC gamer and only gave it up 2 year ago as I had to stop being selfish and start sharing my life with my partner and commit to paying a mortgage etc etc. I miss it dearly though, especially my comrades on CS Source.

I now own a PS3 and Xbox 360 instead, knowing its a compromise. Without starting anything, the Xbox 360 walks all over the PS3. The PS3 is used solely as a media station for movies. The controller is the deciding factor for me - and that my friends - is why I will always opt for Xbox over PS3. Of course though, nothing will ever beat a keyboard and mouse!

Obviously you never read any sega or nintendo mags during the 8bit and 16bit wars

. The nintendo fan boys used to send pictures in the the mag with decaptitated sonic pictures and vice versa for mario etc.

The argument has existed for as long as I can remember. I used to have to listen to nerds on my computer studies course was I was 14/15 arguing about which was the best/most powerfull Amiga or Atari.

I take more notice if the argument was, which is the most fun.

ps3 for the gaming connoisseur. 360 for people who care more about the controller than playing games.

Sorry but this thread is unanswerable in a serious manner. Both have advantages and disadvantages. What is a great set of exclusives to one person, is a pile of crap to another.

I bought a 360 cos it has a Multi sampled fill rate of 16.0 Billion Samples/sec (8 ROPS x 4 Samples x 500MHz)

Every game looks good now. Even the really bad games have really shiny graphics. I've almost became blind to how a game looks and just care about what the gameplay is like.
