Forza 3 - Time Trial Championship

Did a 17.5 on my first hot lap with a bit of penalty for touching the gravel (in no way saved me any time)
Think with practising some lines and just finding where the hell the brake for the first corner I could be in the high 16s without too much effort. Not sure I'm going to bother as I hate this track and don't really like the car much either :p
 
Before I start on the next round in earnest I just wanted to congratulate Demon on a cracking lap to pip it right at the death. Looks like things just got a bit more interesting! :D

If you get a fault in the last sector of the lap it automatically means the next lap will be as well which is quite annoying.

On Catalunya this includes the big painted area at the tight hairpin left which is nowhere near the finish which is pretty crazy! :confused:

Cheers, It's actually a real pleasure to race with such a good bunch of people. Yourself and Mr Latte seem ludicrously quick...

I'm going to take a good crack at this one, I don't quite have the finesse you guys have, but I'll give it a shot!

This track is very testing, took me 16laps to get one bad lap verified. Then i had a better one coming and lost it and ofcourse the next lap in the last chicane, decided my car had to plough into the hairpin in rage.

1:18.786... a 1:17.5 is very possible but not going to be a fun achieving.

I'm sure Widget or Mr Latte will pull out a last minute super lap, I've done about 40-50 laps total this week, normally I'd do that in one sitting!

Nice to see so many of use close to the top 100 in a D328 car!

Mr Latte, Looking at your ghost, I am very impressed with how much more control you seem to have over myself, not sure if that's the wheel or just your smooth driving style, but big respect, my lap was quite ragged in comparison!

I think the last time I tried was Tuesday evening, I was happy with that time I did so early on tbh and I do this with the enjoyment of competing than trying to be 1st.
Where do you think you made up the time?

As you said in a recent post and i stated earlier in the week the first segment of my PB wasnt amazing (your 2 car lengths) and I felt my last corner lost maybe another few hundredths at least.
Well done Demon, you kept at it!

By the way I think it would be a good idea if we ever get the chance to try and do a few races for fun on the track we had been doing the previous week in TTs. Bound to be close racing. Wot you lot reckon? and maybe do those starts where the faster guys are delayed a few seconds?

Lol. Yeh I know the feeling. Run a bit wide and touch the gravel or grass losing you some time - penalty.
Going straight over the chicanes (all 4 wheels off of the track) at the end of the lap - absolutely fine :p

I don't mind either way - just takes a while to get to learn what you can get away with on what tracks. Used to have the same thing on Forza 2 around Nordsclieffe, every single lap I'd go over the same kerb in the first sector, every single time I'd get a 0.033 penalty - or very occasionally a 0.034 and nothing in the rest of the lap!
 
On 1:16.844. Can easily see people getting into the very low 16's possibly even 15's here. A lot of time I can find to make up in my current lap, just can't piece it all together yet.
 
I realised I needed TC on with this car all of a sudden at the very first corner :o

I managed an 1:18.562 so far, but mostly I'm trying to finish season 6 and the all gold.
 
how the hell are you guys getting such clear pictures of your laptimes?

I only have a 3.2megapixel mobile phone camera.............and I am struggling to get clear pictures.....
 
Some people probably have proper cameras? :p

I don't see how anyone is struggling to get the power down on this thing, even if I try and drive with the throttle either on or off I hardly lose the back end!

Did a 16.5 earlier before getting bored again. Can't get a nice clean smooth lap in yet. If no-one manages to get into the low 15s I'll be amazed.

I agree with that, only time i lose the rear wheels is when i clip some of a corner's insides and even then this car isn't hard to put back in line. 415hp with a smooth delivery and tyres the size of a small moon is not that much to deal with in the big picture. Of course not even a car of this caliber can make up for my lacking driving prowess.
 
I shall not be posting a time for this one I don't think :/

40 laps and not one of them clean :mad:

Sometimes the lap is invalid before I've even hit the first corner??!!
