Derek Acorah Wants to contact Michael Jackson

There's a great story about Acorah that adds to the barrel of evidence that he's a blatant fraud.

There was a show he was going a while back, going to towns and villages with stories of hauntings any what not. His team would research the area first and learn everything about the supposed story, tell it to Acorah, then he would go to said place and pretend to be seeing dead spirits, talking to them and receiving clairvoyant messages, etc. They got to a pub which was somewhere, I forget where, but can look it up if anyone wants. The research team had been doing the rounds of the local place, it turned out that a boy was supposed to have been killed in the upstairs area about sixty years prior. Acorah turned up and started seeing visions of a boy being murdered and feeling the presence of a young boy. It later transpired, after the show had aired, that the owner of the pub had made the whole thing up to try and give the place more character and drum up some business. :p

I don't know that Acorah is a fraudulent medium, but given my knowledge and understanding of the practice, I can say with a fair amount of certainty that he is.

lol - tis a bit sick the number of people who try to cash in on famous people dying

like all the "close personal friends" of pricess diana (who'd like met her at a party once or twice or something) who then sold thier stories to the mail etc....

this guy however is a complete scumbag - gives false hope (while selling lots of tickets) to gullible people trying to contact loved ones etc.... and now he's trying to jump in on the jackson bandwagon and make a bit of cash....

Remember the story about the researchers giving him information about a place that had the same name but was in a completely different area?

You never know, he might end up working for the CBI. And we'll find out he is just a great deductionist. (Is that a word?)

there is also a show involving him and a few other mediums where the journalists made up a fake website/background story about a location - Accora and a few others obviously did thier research and sure enough came up with the 'fake' back story when doing their BS round the place....

'fradulent' medium tbh.. I think you can apply that to any - there isn't really any other sort of medium.....

sort of like saying 'evil' mass murderer - tis reasonable to assume that any* mass murdered is evil in the same way that any medium is fradulent

*assuming they don't have some underlying psychological issues

Did anyone else watch this?

It was pretty convincing. Especially the bit where Derek said what Michael's favourite performance of that impersonator was. Derek is either for real or had done his homework.

And that girl was so weird. Wait, they were all weird. :p

Of course he did his ****ing homework, along with a whole team of researchers and an ear piece there's probably little about Michael Jackson he didn't know.

OMG. Why the hell is there a thread on the fail that is Derek Okorah? (sp) Can not be bothered to find out whether I can spell his name or not.

If he wants to contact MJ why not just pick up a phone and call his agent? I'm sure they could arrange a meet if it was that important.

Am I missing something?

I honestly didn't know. :(

watched the start of it, those people were odd, clearly chosen for being so weird that they would believe anything.
