Is it a good night when you don't remember going out?

Nights out you can't remember are pointless.

The best nights out are where you're still sober enough to talk properly and to remember things but also the best nights out require a certain level of "randomness". Nights out that are planned down to the Nth degree are just boring and sterile.

Ive never not been able to remember anything after drinking. How many pints would you have to drink for this to happen? Ive drunk until i can hardly walk or talk coherently and i can still remember it all the next day.

Seems a bit pointless to just wake up the next day feeling like a nuke went off in your skull, only to not remember anything and be missing a hundred or so quid from your wallet.

A bottle of russian standard vodka did it to me on one occasion, about the same on another.

No, as you just spent a load of money and got nothing for it (other than a sore head probably).

Think of it as being in a coma and paying for your hospital bed for the night, is that good too?

It something that happens with spirits, more often than beer. They are far more easy to drink than beer so they can sneak up on you, as it were. Having just 'one more' when you are drinking spirits can be disastrous, particuarly if you are pouring the drinks yourself because:

a) You don't realise how much you are pouring
b) In addition, with a 'one last one for the road' mentality, you tend to pour even more

Thus house parties, rather than pubs, tend to be the location of these events, and why now I only drink beer at house parties.

Get yourselves to vegas, then you'll know what a proper night out is. None of this "omg! mates gf! coffee! strip bar!" gayness. :p

its very very hard to do with pints . probably because the alcohol is getting taken in slower. eg by the time your hitting the last pints the first pints are wearing off

spirits though. woooosh. goodbye memory.

You’d be surprised at what you can get up to. ;)

Drunkenly slobbering all over her jubblies and pasty really isn't getting up to much, especially as it'll probably only last a few minutes before she calls time, unless she's passed out, in which case you'll probably both wake up with you on top of her the next morning wondering WTF...:p

Normally about 10 pints is the point where my memory starts to go blank, but that's normally towards the end of the night anyway.

10 pints at 4% has the same alcohol in it was 1 pint at 40%, so same as a pint of vodka over an evening :( After a point, you start to wake up the next morning still drunk and so have no hang over, so if you drink plenty of water and have a breakfast you can escape a hangover altogether. Not a great way of doing it thought tbh. I've not drank enough water a couple of times and end up with a banging headache around 4-6pm.

OP - How drunk were your friends? If they were hammered as well they might not have noticed or heard much, or might not remember it all either?

This very rarely happens to me, and when it does it's because i've mixed my drinks. The beauty of it is, over the course of the following week, remembering all those details you've somehow managed to bury and cringing at them.

Dont see the point in going out and getting totally hammered till you cant remember anything, because the end result is always the same, you wake up feeling like death! I happily avoid town nowadays and just use a few nice pubs where i can go for a nice drink and chill out without having to deal with all the muppets that hang around in town!

Maybe im getting old at 25? :p
