PS3 - HDMI to VGA?

Hey everyone,
I am trying to connect my PS3 to my laptop. It has a HDMI port and a VGA port, but it seems the HDMI is output only. This leaves me with the VGA port. Is there some sort of cable/adapter that I can use to get picture from my PS3 to VGA but still get HD image?

Yes, it's called the HDFury and will set you back a large sum of money.

Because i've never in my 24 years of living on this planet seen a VGA-in on a laptop. Nearly all of them have VGA-outs in order to connect it to an external monitor.

Ah right. I had a faint hope that maybe technology advanced so that input and output was possible form the same port.

I'm sure it's possible, but the likelihood of your laptop having it is slim at best, certainly not strong enough to justify the ~£100 investment in a HDFury adapter.
