Modern Warefare playable early?

I'm pretty sure i've got MW2 sitting on my desk at work, as i got an email on thursday to say it was dispatched by a courier. (Had a day off)
So i may go pick it up tomorow as i have the keys, but as it runs through Steam will i be able to play it early? Or will it most likely just pre-load it?

Done a quick google but it just seems to come up with console version queries.

Most couriers wont deliver it until tuesday anyway. Thats what ive heard atleast (i know parcel force are doing that
