The Official Football Manager 2010 Thread

Anyone finding this game runs much smoother than the last FM incarnations? Am really enjoying playing it this time around as things run so fast.

Doing OK as sheffield wednesday but its early days yet!
 
clean sweap of end of year awards, manager/player/young player/goal scorer.

rooney has banged in 57 in 59 games with 2 finals left to play.

My Shrewsbury team aren't faring that well in League 1 after promotion, made a few signings but nothing spectacular (that you'd expect in L1 :D) did get Ayala from Liverpool on a free though :D along with De Laet so i have a brand new partnership at the back.

Out of the League Cup already in round 2 and laying 14th in the league after 5 games. Then again i guess i couldn't really expect to get promotion year after year with a stingy board that only gave me 60k to spend and 3k wages extra :(

Started a new game as Crystal Palace, started with a £0 budget, and £110 wages left. Managed to offer new contracts to two people which should save me about £3k, and released pretty much all my reserves, so up to about £4.8k wages left...shame the players my scouts recommend are about £3-4k wages each :(
 
man its hard getting out of BSS - Bromley FC

Season 1 - 11th 4points off playoff's
Season 2 - 7th 4points off playoff's

lol now thinking im not sure which season was more sucessful.

But i hope next season to at least get in playoff's.

Few more 4/5 star players in closed season and i think i'll be sorted.
 
can anyone reccomend a tall striker to get some headers in for wigan? 2-4mill?

giving wigan yet another go :p i will make them work!

just signed taylor from newcastle for 2mill+3mill to hopefully strengthen defence, now im just looking for a striker to get on the end of crosses.

went for zaki in the end, will support rodellega.

Tempted to get this tonight. Havent played FM since 08. Bought 09 but never played it! Meh.

This looks good and has got me a bit exicted about tonight.
 
Uninstalled it from Steam tonight and installed it again the proper way, fed up of that hunk of ****. Wish I didn't have to give up achievements though, they were pretty funky.
