I run CF 5770's @ 1920x1080 and they tear through everything, stonking setup, and considerably cheaper than the 5870's now. :)

I just took the plunge and ordered 2x powercolours to replace my trusty BFG 8800gtx..they should be here tomorrow. Can you tell we which cats are best?..I'm on vista 64bit.

Cheers

sorry to crash this thread but im also looking at getting a 5770.

i have 2x asus radeon 4850's in crossfire and was wondering if the 5770 is worth it for the money as a single card.

i play at 1900x1080 with games like cod 4-killing floor-l4d-nation red.

will the 5770 play all my game's at that res as im looking at getting rid of my 2 card's and going to one.

any issues with CF on those cards ? like screen flicker or using dual screens ? im having abit of a mare with 4850's in CF so im wondering if the updated tech on the 5 series fixed certain issues

CF 4850's will be faster than a single 5770 by a good margin.

I've had zero problems with them so far. But then I never had a problem with my CF 4850's either.

+1 mine run great only prob i can see is temp my top card is sitting a 55c and the bottom 45c a tad hot me thinks and std. very little room between cards. Any one think ill lose much moving it to the bottom slot of ud5 think it will run 8x8 instead of 16x6 though

Mine 2x powercolours are now sat here on my desk at work :). Will install and have a play tonight (though I have already commited myself to helping my daughter revise for her Maths exam friday lol) and post some results/thoughts asap.

well i've sold the 4670 i've been using as a stop gap so need to do something. What though? Would a single 5770 hold up for an occasional gamer at 1920x1200? Want to get back into pc gaming but tbh finding the xbox sufficient atm.

i game at 1920x1080 also,i would say a single 5770 will struggle with some upcoming games.
As for cod4 and killing floor i would think it would be fine.

Ok wierd one here...I cant get either card to display on the monitor. Have tried using both dvi ports/both pci slots with both cards, the fans are spinning up ok but on post, i just get a blank monitor in standby mode. I put back the 8800gtx and hey presto..no issues at all.

I find it hard to believe that i have been delivered 2 faulty cards so I must be missing something really obvious I guess?

Any ideas...mobo is an asus PQ 5 turbo so onboard graphics to interfere either.

@ wakayoda - The £100ish price difference has something to do with it!

Well, I've managed to install both XFX cards in my computer, but CCC isn't letting me neable Crossfire. Anyone got any ideas?

Have you installed the Xfire bridge..? You may need to re-install CCC.
