Win 7 and BFG gtx295

Correct me if im wrong but shouldn't a 295 (like a 3870x2) show as 2 devices under display adaptors and have a page in the nv control panel titled "multi gpu"? Been trying to install this with several different drivers and this is the result every time

Thats with driver 191.07

do you have a single pcb card? if so, these are only seen as one device, whether or not you use both cores is decided by the NV control panel settings.

Is the card actually working? That should be the most important aspect no?

I seem to remember reading that the 2 GPUs in the 295 are "transparent" to windows.

Not so (see below)

Just checked mine and regardless of whether SLi is active or not, both cores show in device manager.

Is the card performing as it should?

Doesn't seem to be working in sli mode at the minute, when i first installed i ran the crysis benchmark and noticed at the top where it shows fps with the 3870x2 it always said "multi-gpu", with this so far its not said that. Gpuz just says "disabled" for the nvidia sli box.

Ive read about people having issues with win 7 though, that maxishine guy i remember in one of his latest vids it appeared his 295 was running in what appeared to be single gpu mode.

Hard to say whats wrong yet, id imagine if the card was faulty it probably wouldnt work at all instead of having one gpu run since theyre linked together. Considering installing vista on another drive and seeing if it works in that.

Heh, just read the first post :D, the multi GPU page you're talking about in NV control panel is where "Set PhysX Configuration" in the OPs first pic, it is supposed to be "Set multi-GPU and PhysX configuration". So definatly looks like one is ****ed :(.

Have you try EVGA Precision to see if it shows both cores ??

It doesn't, however gpuz does indeed show 2 gpu temps listings:

Maybe one of the GPU's is faulty..

Well if it is im stuffed, got it from members market as a bfg rma card, :(. To activate the warranty i need a proof of purchase to be uploaded to them and ive not got it :(

Click where it shows NVIDIA GeForce GTX 295 at the bottom left - does it show 2 entries?

The tab does go down but theres no number beside the entry, i think its just showing the one gpu.
