Bunga, I share your views completely.

It works flawlessly for me, and I actually appreciate the ease at which I can join a game!
No longer do I have to search through a list of servers trying to find one with the mode I want and 0 restrictions :)

I love the whining from those that get pwned. I love finding others that use different bots and compete with them in game, playing the same game you whiny brats do, but on another level because others that are using the same abilities can single out those on the same level and play a game in a game and challenge each other beyond those of you that ride high on your "moral/ethical" horse. It is a game of war, there is no ethics and morals in war. All is fair.

Oh dear indeed. Clearly twelve years old.
 
Have started playing the sp through on the setting down from the hardest setting (hardened?) but now wish i had set it to veteran. there is an option to lower the difficulty but not to raise it without restarting. anyone know of a way i can raise the difficulty ?

Yeah, I clicked Regular and it's too easy in most places; wish I could raise it too.

Fair enough, but if you want restricted weapons and have admin on hand to kick cheats or abusive people your stuffed.

My main gripe is that I can no longer play on clan servers with people I have a good banter with and with people who dont spray and pray.

Oh and lean missing annoys me a tad

Dedicated servers are still a lot more practical and I still don't agree with what IW/Activision have done but to be honest - this works perfectly, happy customer.

Some of the trolling on this thread is unbelievable, people who clearly haven't even played it at all and are just making **** up as they go along. Wise up, seriously.

Everything u have said there makes it sound worse than cod 4 mp. So i can see the so called "trolls" have valid points!

It's not as good as Cod 4 MP. I don't like it.

It doesn't lag but the lack of choice over maps etc annoys me.

I just want to go on and play HC DM with my mates.

Where in my post did I say it was better than MW1? Seriously, l2read.

Although on that note, the maps, the guns, killstreaks are all better than MW1

The point is, the trolls that I mention don't have valid points because they clearly haven't even tried it. They're bandwagoners mate. I don't care if they try it and still don't like it. Just sit quietly and don't bitch about it like a 5-year-old, piping up on every thread imaginable that it's the end of the world.

Fair enough, you don't like the lack of dedicated servers, neither do I, but making up stuff like "it lags constantly, unplayable game lololol" is fabulously stupid because it's totally untrue.
 
depends really what you consider lag there will be lag no matter what you try on iwnet that is a fact p2p will always have some sort of lag and advantage to the host that is the fact if you dont like its tough until they sort it i think the bitching is out of annoyance for iw but saying that i think they will fix it and add dedicated support i believe

• Navigate to the folder: 'program files\steam\steamapps\common\call of duty modern warfare 2\players' and open the file config_mp.cfg

• Change scoresping_interval from 100 to 20, and maxbars from 4 to 10 (10 is the max).

• This means that each of the 10 bars represents 20ms, with full green being 20ms or lower, and 1 red being 200ms or higher.

The sad truth? You might wanna pound a few beers before you read this:

• The host is immediately obvious, he's the guy with 0-20 ping (full green).
• I usually connect with about 101-200+ms.
• Most people are connected at 200+ms (3 or less bars on normal cfg settings).
• On regular cfg settings, 4 bars means up to 0-100 ping, 3 bars 101-200, 2 bars 201-300, 1 bar is 301+.

I can only imagine that all this hatred towards the game comes from being hugely disappointed with the dedicated servers issue. Its a big step backwards. It certainly put me off buying from the off. But I have played it on the PS3 and loving it on split screen. I will probably get it but only if it drops in price or pick up 2nd hand.

Im playing too many games at the moment to get it and so I can happily bide my time. Whereas if it was on dedicated servers in would be already installed on the computer and I wouldnt be writing this post.

Try going to the main menu, choose mission select then the latest mission available to you, you then have the option to choose a higher level. As far as I can see you will continue from that point on the harder level (may just mean replaying one of the sections)..
