Date you joined "Steam"?

While looking at my profile and steam I noticed the date I very first signed up (5years ago today lol) November 16, 2004, and was wondering about everyone else who uses Steam?

Oh and secondly, what was everyones first game? (Think mine was CS:S) :cool:

Half Life, Half Life 2, CS:S, DoD:S an a load of other games.

I signed up when I was registering my voucher for HL2 that I got with my Radeon 9800XT.

That card kicked some serious ass at the time.

June 4th 2005, when I got my laptop & HL2 which allowed me to carry it to a friends house to activate it on steam as I didnt have the internet back then.

Think it was only around that time or a few months later that 3rd party games started popping up on steam (Rag Doll Kung Fu was the first?).

Didnt realise steam went back that far (2003) thought it only began with the CS:S beta...

whenever CS 1.6 beta was released... no longer have that account though, can't remember password... but account after that is 12 Nov 2003 (cs only) and the current account is 18 Sept 2004 (got for hl2 + source bundle, got new account due to it including cs + hl1)

Would've been earlier, but dismissed it as a rubbish alternative to WON and forsook the early beta...

Steam id number is in the 50,000s.

It's on your community page, on one of the right hand panels.

Status in the console gets your ID.

at one point it was based on much time you spend gaming over last 2 weeks, not sure if it has changed
