Dev.disney email ?

has anyone heard of this email Dev.disney ? is it a virus or a scam I've not had it but I have noticed a few people have ?

problem was I didnt get the email it was a friend of mine and this is all the info they supplied

The email title was Hannah Montana and High School Musical - the Collections Out Now

The website address asking for a username & Password was http:// dev.disney.co.uk (I think?)

so its not my fault

It's most likely spam, but more to the point, why care? If it is a virus or scam why does it matter?

If it was unsolicited and asking for credentials, it may well be spam. I'd just ignore it.

Seems a little strange to me... Disney.co.uk is the official disney site and dev.disney.co.uk is a subdoman that asks for a username and password. Lord knows why you would get a spam email telling you to go there...

Even if someone was faking the address by making the link text different to the actual link destination it would make no sense to use dev.disney.co.uk, why not just use disney.co.uk.

Maybe what happened was that someone at Disney screwed up and images linked in the Hannah Montana email were on dev.disney.co.uk so if one tried to display said images it would ask for the username and password.
