Gamble, Gamble .... and Gamble.

Its a philosophy that is not really working to great this year, but I think next season (if im not sacked) we will be very strong.

This year with about 10 league games left im 4th but 10pts or so behind Juve who are top.

Lost a dramatic 4-2 Italian Cup Quarter Final to Roma (not too bothered, but its silverware gone begging) and in the Champions League I face Marseille in the Quarter Finals. Very beatable BUT Lloris, Montolivo and someone else are cup tied, so I have to rely on Abbiati in the net.

Very enjoyable though.

Not finished yet, but yeah fighting for fourth.

I agree its not ideal, but its down to the SI 'teams need to gel, cant sign too many players' factor. My team took ages to settle down, plus we were poor when Dida/Abbiati kept net, once Lloris came in, we picked up a lot.

Next season is my target as the team will be 'gelled'.

Ive got just 1 Milan players left that plays Thiago Silva, whilst Flamini and some kids moan about on the fringes.

Well Milan is a good project team... a lot of old chuff that needs clearing (OK they are good, but not the future). So my task was to rebuild, at first I thought it would be a slow process, then I found out that I could just back date all these fees and kept on spending.

It probably has come together too quickly, but if I can hang on and make the Champions League again, then we have a chance to build.

I can see where you are coming from though, but its a combination of my plans coming to fruition aided by a third world budget :D
 
Right im at a cross road..

Going to start 3rd season with stoke. Ran out of money due to my high spending lol. Man united and bigger clubs trying to pick off my best players. Next season all my good players will be over 32

The top 6 in england has been locked down by

Liverpool
Arsenal
Man u
Chelsea
Spurs
Man City

No one is going to break them they have money and the best players. My stoke team are the best of the rest in the league. I cant do any more than finish 7th. Is it time to move on? My reputation is good on the game man city offered me the job mid season and i turned it down.

One tip for people playing as mid table prem clubs. GET KERZHAKOV! 32 goals this season.
 
i'm with Chelsea and losing basically 9m a month! i haven't even increased our wage budget really. do you just wait it out until the end of the year to see if you break even or what? :S

What a great weekend! Made a couple of signings in the January transfer window.

Signed Ronaldo (The brazillian) on a free transfer, signed Webo for about 500k, a great striker great striker, scored hat-trick on debut, currently on the bench as i have Chamakh, RvP and Vela.

Gallas is leaving at the end of his contract. Sold Eboue to Aston Villa. Good riddance.

Lots of decent out of contact guys. Currently 1st in the league on Goal Diff. Have Liverpool away next, should be tricky match.

Loving this game.
 
Just playing the demo with Man City.

Finished pre season and they don't seem to be gelling together. Ive been scraping wins from Oldham, Crewe and others. I've bought De Rossi and Mexes.

Any ideas how to knit the team together a bit better before I start the full season?
 
Try going back in time and telling City not to sign too many players at once in real life :p


Anyway, I wouldn't worry about pre-season. Give it two or three months and hopefully it should improve naturally.
 
Just me again :o

Spent £271m in an attempt to revive the teams fortunes.

Biggest signings of note are probably Aguero for 64m from Atletico and Mascherano for 50m from Liverpool.

Other signings include; Giovinco, Aquilani, Akinfeev, Obi Mikel, Santacroce and Cavani.

I have been chasing Lahm but he is resisting me... probably as I started the season with a 2-0 loss at home to newly promoted Reggina :( (edit. make that 2 defeats from 2!)

I'm going to start a game as A.C. Milan though :)

Can't believe how much money you've spent :eek:

Sheffield Wednesday > 3rd Season > Just looking who to buy to push for a top half finish in the Prem.

Manchester United > 78? winning streak in the league got a bit boring > will pick it up again soon.

Fancy some Italian action ;)

Over 600,000,000 - done me no good though, probably be in Serie B next year if things dont pick up!
 
3rd season and i want to push the team onto the top 6.

I sold wellington as he was bloody useless for me. Kerza outscored him something like 32 goals to 9!

With that money i got a new Argentine wonderkid (in the mold of aguero) and also Jo (for use as a target man).

My keeper is 35 so bought ustari to replace him.
