Battlefield BC2 looking dam sweet

Daft question, i got a GTX 295 and i know it won't support DX11, but in anycase will i still be able to play the new BF?

Easily.....considering the 295 can be faster than the 5870 in some DX9 and DX10 games...

I think anything from an ATI 48xx or Nvidia 250 upwards will be able to play this quite comfortably, given that, at the end of the day, its a console port.

What makes you think it is a console port?

How is that a daft mechanic?

I personally love it, I love unlocking stuff, and weapons are no exception. It gives you more incentive to play, and more reward for putting time into the game.

Because rewarding more experienced players by giving them better weapons just makes it a horrible experience for new players joining after release, get worse with time too.

I have nothing agaisnt rewarding players I just don't feel that giving them even more of an advantage is the right way to go.

Very nice walkthrough there, and I must say I'm surprised how well it appeared to run on the PS3.

Yeah same here, looked very smooth.

Really looking forward to this but trying my best to keep my hopes from getting too high as the 2 recent FPS games ive been looking forward too have dissapointed.

But this on DX11 with extra work that dice have promised could be something quite special. Hope they leave something for BF3

That is generally the way with most FPS games nowadays, COD and even the old BF'S been an example. It makes people feel like they are acquiring something more material when investing the time into the game. Not to mention in previous games there hasnt been 1 overpowered weapon. I see your point though just dont see how its going to keep new players away :)

It's probably just me, I'm already rubbish at these games :D

The old one knew how to please me. What if this new one doesn't know as many tricks?

I'll then go crawling back to the old one wondering why I had spent soo much on this young one in the first place.

Have they confirmed this will be released at the same time as its console counterparts or are we likely to see another 1943 debacle?

The sound in this game is incredible. I played the demo on 360 when I had a decent home cinema system, and it sounded incredible. It'll be nice to have a BF game on PC with some really nice sound in it.
