I believe this is actually LAG, the other player shoots you, but you have time to dive around the corner (In your reality), subsequently the server informs your client that actually you never made it round the corner, and you had been shot. The effect appears to be banana bullets that follow you round the corner.

I've had the same in a crysis match on a dedicated server, so a dedicated server won't prevent this, but the greater the lag, the more you see it.

Yes. It's annoying. It's extremely difficult to say, get shot at, run round a corner to flank them cause by the time you move you are dead. It's something I used to do in CoD4 a lot, if I knew I wasn't going to win a fight, I'd find another way to win.

Guys what's the best way to level up? i've just been playing FFA (level 28) but i've heard that headquarters is better for levelling up.

Also what’s the best way to go with guns? e.g what gun first /2nd etc :)

In S&D you get around 500 points per kill. If you have a good S&D match with a few kills, plants and bomb defuses, you can rack up your EXP very quickly.

Otherwise just make sure you're doing the objectives in modes like Domination, HQ etc. This game rewards well for completing objectives.

Big TDM games are good as well for racking up kills and EXP points, unless you're not very good at the game of course.

Thank god it's not just me having problems! I thought i was the only one, this sucks, 5 minutes ago I was playing fine but now...

On a little side note it turns out that only 5% of all MW2 sales were for the PC :(

Its clearly not "cool" to use a pc to play games anymore :(

Im sick of this **** now, this is without doubt the most ridiculously thought out multiplayer game in history.

I dont think i've ever had this many problems in a game EVER.

Yes, PC is the smallest percentage in terms of how much sold on each platform but that hardly means anything other than the PC is just the smallest market.

The PC version of Modern Warfare 2 has actually outsold the PC version of Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare in it's first week. Making it the most successful PC version.

Essentially, all this percentage proves is that the console versions sold great, not that the PC version sold poorly, because that's actually not the case. The PC version has done tremendous in it's first week, better than our previous game.

Even if that were the case you could also argue that screwing pc gamers over and still expecting them to buy the game in droves isnt the best strategy.

After playing this game with people from here and then going back to playing on my own when no one is online, it's amazing how frustrating it can be.

Just played a few domination rounds and we lost each one because everyone in my team was just waiting for kills rather than capturing points.

It's ironic how I was trying to capture each point on my own, yet I still managed to have a good KDR whilst the ones waiting for kills were all negative.

Back to the SP game (maybe we need a seperate thread for those not interested in MP ;) ).

*******Possible Spoiler*******

Managed to finish it last night on "medium" level. Is it me or was the ending vaguely unsatisfying? Didn't really feel as if the story had been resolved, a surprise protagonist revealed but the war still ongoing and so far as I can tell the original protagonist still at large.

I guess that leaves the way open for a sequel.

******End Spoiler*******

Although I managed to finish it, lost track of the number of times I repeatedly had to replay the same section, all due to the lack of a quicksave facility. And the grenade spamming continues to be a cheap way of extending gameplay.

Found lack of joypad support for the motorised sections particularly the boat chase very frustrating...

Doubt I would play it again which I suspect is a view many share but the publisher knows that hence killing the resale potential by requiring Steam registration/DRM.
