Tasers girl who resisted bedtime shower

I read this on Shortnews the other day and it said she kicked the officer in the nuts and he put the taser on a low setting.

So if a strange grown man was trying to force your ten year old daughter into the shower what would your advice to her be?

Tefal, I feel your rage. I raged at this, objectively of course.

Told the gf, she raged. ****ed me off with her rage actually as I was struggling to finish the story to her. :p

Mucho rage, make a cup of tea...

Maybe a quick taser will help calm the GF down?

Seriously I think the UK police should all have tasers! Easy way to detain people, I don't care what age they are, if they do not listen to the police they should be taught a short and sharp lesson in manners; never did me any harm (the lesson that is, not taser!)

So it seems that the kid had a disorder that gave her violent tendencies and the mother called the police for the protection of the child.

If the child was a danger to herself and others then I can just about see the justification for the use of a taser. What I don't understand is that the officer managed to carry the child to two separate rooms before deciding to use force.

Seems the officer has now been suspended - for not having the camera on the taser.

Tasers are very dangerous, OK?

My advice to 'him' would be, you won't be living very long if you continue.

When taken from men who try to force my daughter into a shower, he would defecate sparks for a long while.

The mother needed to be tased jointly with the cop.

My daughter won't take shower?, grounded and toys ect restricted until daughter decides to join the clean human race, she would be getting soapy real soon as boredom ate her resolve very quickly.

I got arrested the other day for refusing to give my name when they stopped me. It's my lawful right to refuse to give my name unless reported for an offense. They then proceeded to try and arrest me and a wrestle broke out between me and two officers.

There's more to the story but in the end it was found they failed to follow procedure, were in the wrong, I refused a caution and the CPS dropped the case because the officers acted poorly.

So even though I was proven right, because I didn't listen to the power hungry bullying ******** I should have been tased? By your logic?

Of course not, I ( perhaps wrongly) presume officers would use it at their discretion. Can they still use a baton against people? I'm sure similar rules of engagement would apply and that training would be required of course, so not every officer would be able to carry a taser - a bit different to my previous statement I must admit.

why does no other news station say anything about being forced into a shower.

She was arrested and taken to a detention centre where she is charged with disorderly conduct.

She was resisting arrest and kicking and punching the officer.

Have you seen how violent 10 years can be.

she was resisting getting put in the shower..not arrest.
is how i read it

*edit*
re-read it...seems she didnt stop kicking about from when he try to take her into the shower with him to the point he decided to arrest her.

but surely the girl has the right to refuse and resist going into the shower with that strange strange man...how can he arrest her for not taking showers with him.

When he arrived, the girl was curled up on the floor and screaming, he wrote.

The youngster was also kicking and resisting every time her mother tried to get her in the shower before bed, the report continued.

Mr Bradshaw wrote: "Her mother told me to 'tase' her, if I needed to."

The officer tried to take the girl into custody but she was "violently kicking and verbally combative" and struck him, the report continued.

It's in the police report that the site in the OP has posted up there.

Tasers can be deadly. They shouldn't be used to subdue an unruly 10 year old for heaven's sake.

officer tried to carry her into the shower....

Fine, but she was not tasered then, she was tasered for resisting arrest, whilst lashing out an officer.Something which is not shocking.

Can be, if they have a weak heart or underlying health issues.
