Well have you? l fitted one and have none, Cool's well, dead easy to fit, ram slots are free, quiet, l did consider a Pro Meg a excellent cooler. But choose the H50 at the end of the day we have no idea how long it will last, even that did not put me off so we just have to wait and see. Every body has the right to build and choice their spec, just read another thread> Corsair H50 Vs The Prolimatech Megahalems

http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showthread.php?t=18061885

IMAO - a couple of peep,s came out with some mumbo jumbo(tech jargon), about why the H5O is not upto scratch and doomed to fail in the long run. I'm sure Corsair did enough testing in one form or another as thay probably knew, it would get well tested to the hilt when it was released to the PC world. I think most people will agree it's not men't to compete with a full water set up, just air cooler's in general.

I don't think you should worry about how long the will last, I have a northQ siberian tiger (an earlier rebranding of the Asetek LCLC) kicking about in a spare rig which is still going strong.

i guess im just a snob, but wouldnt run one

i reckon it may be useful in a matx case, but above that it would have no use to me

Good thing I'm running mATX then ;)

Keep your suitcase sized hardware boxes :p

Case is almost exactly the same height as my 22" monitor, few mm taller. Which is handy as its on my desk and I can't see the reasoning in having a FOGB case towering over you.

welll iv got one coming in the post so wil let you know , changed my whole system from amd to i7 and from tt 120 to h50 .guess i feel its half way to water proper but didnt want to go all the way after spending 600 quid plus on gear , from what i read their worth the money ,lets see )

I took the LCLC out of the spare rig just after posting this. About a week ago I got it out of storage with the intention of selling it on, only to find that the tubing had perished and split.

Lucky for my spare rig I took it out when I did, and lucky that I hadn't sold it earlier and trashed someone else's PC.

I fitted one of these for my dad's new i7 box, and it seems to be alright, but what I find strange is that it doesn't perform as good as my old TRUE did, yet I've seen loads of threads on here where people claim they got these amazing temps at 4GHz with these things..

The temps aren't bad on my dad's machine, but I was expecting to see much better tbh..

Full load running LinX, with 2 fans in push/pull his chip hits 82c, and that's with the side panel off the case, my TRUE used to top out at 77c @ 4GHz..

At 4ghz my i7 is hitting 73-68-69-67, thats with a TRUE and 2 very quiet 400-1200 rpm pwm fans.

I'm excited about getting mine set up. Came through the post about a week ago, just need to grab CPU cleaner to apply the MX-3 I got, which'll come through the post with a shiny new fan & splitter (my splitter setup at the moment is a bit hapazard and takes up a lot of unnecessary space). This'll be my very first overclock, so wish me luck.

Depends on your case, if your case is heat trap then you'll be pulling warm air into the rad if you use it as an exhaust so would be better of using it as an intake.

No regrets here - in fact, if it wasn't for the H50 I wouldn't be able to use my old Cooler Master case so the H50 was a godsend!

I still love my H50, it shaved 8-9degC off the temps of my Q9650 clocked at 4Ghz when compared to my old TRU-E which took up a shed load more room and added about a tonne in extra weight :P

Not only did my my CPU get a drop in temps but my ambient case temp dropped by 2-3 degC also :)

I was a little unsure after I had some problems fitting it initially. I used one of the wrong screws, not realising there were two sorts as they look so similar. Chewed up the backplate a little because of this.

Got it in eventually, though, and my i5 750 is currently running at 3.5Ghz and around 53-55c while running P95 and 27-29c idle. I'm hoping to push it to 4Ghz and am pretty happy with it. Also very quiet.
