From a legal stand point, is there any problem asking out a girl at college as I work in the cafe inside the college?

I'm sure you are a decent bloke, earning a crust etc

But it's late, i've had a drink and this sounds like a thread to subscribe to.

On a more serious note, check your contract of employment and search the thread about the bloke who was suspended working at a school.

If she says no it's bound to not end well. Legally it's fine, but it will be seriously awkward every time you see her and her friends if she does say no.

i work at college as IT Techinican, we do have strong safeguard policy, no matter how old are you or what you do in college, all students in college are counts as valurable people so in theory it's illegal

but, if this student is mature (25+), nobody cares

How does this stand if say, you're about to begin a job as an IT Technician in a college and you were already dating one of the students before you even applied for the job?

then you will have to inform them at the interview, (not that will stopping you get the job anyway)

I've had two interviews and already been told I have the job (start in a week). I didn't think it would really need mentioning (truth be told, I was scared it would go against me). Ages are me at 21, and her at 19, so not too bad really.

You work at the cafe in her college, you will lack any sort of social value in her eyes, she will say no and you will then be that guy that asked so and so out and more than likely be asked to leave you job.

Not worth it in the slightest mate
