well dunno if first ones just found these

http://www.pcgameshardware.com/aid,700050/Dirt-2-benchmarks-DX-9-vs-DX-11/Practice/

hopefully not as buggy as first one seeing as its a big release . also as it is being bundled with a lot of new d 11 cards

this doesnt look good though

" SLI and Crossfire are not working correctly up to now, but AMD is already working on a appropriate driver - and Nvidia is most likely doing the same. "

Those peeps buying a 5750 expecting to play this in dx11 with decent frame rate are going to be dissapointed.I7 @ 3.5 1920x1200 25 to 28 fps.

They are using 9.11 drivers, ATI will have a performance update out or it will be in 9.12.

They are using 4xAA, I can live out it in a racing game so disabling it should increase DX11 performance a fair bit.

A single 4850 at 1920 x 1200 dx9 does 31 to 36 fps dx9 with a i7 @ 3.5 so id guess when they get xfire and sli working youd get around the same with a kentfield and xfire.

Hopefully should be able to max it out @ 5040x1050 max with x2/4 AA with my 5870 :D

The 9.11 drivers already have given me a massive boost in performance.
Combined with a little GPU OC and the new drivers i can now run MW2 maxed with x4 AA.
My fps hits between 60-70 and once in a blue moon for a split second hits 51-55.

in 9.10 i was in the 40's.

As I said, to really push DX 11 games of the future will require more than 1st gen DX 1 cards can push. This is always the case. Yes, the odd game might appear where DX11 effects are used occasionally with little performance impact but thats about it.

You do realise that DX11 rendering mode doesn't just bring the improvements of DX11 but they also use a bunch of new graphical effects based on the new DX11 features. Of course it's going to run slower...

But also won't it take a while for the coding within companies to be more efficient as ive read that this should be the case also.
With more mature coding stuff should run a hell of a lot better.

Meh i dunno.

Is it just me or do people always make too much of a new version of directX? It's not going to revolutionise gaming, and usually takes a while to get right. In fact, dx10 wasn't that amazing at all, nor do I think dx11 will be. dx9 was more interesting, but really it doesn't mean a lot tbh.

Just turn off tessellation - you probably won't even notice the difference when actually driving - and fps should jump up loads.

Quite impressed the 260GTX still puts up great performance compared to the 5870.

They need better comparision screenshots tho.

As DX10 required vista it flopped, simple. DX10 looked a hell of a lot better imo.

And if you say the potential of DX11 is not interesting, then you sir are insane.

I don't think anyones really supprised it's slower but maybe a little by how much slower, for that kind of performance hit I hope these improvements are noticable.
