18 years since Freddie died...

Did I mention I first saw Queen supporting Mott the Hoople before their first album :)

I then saw them on their first couple of headlining tours and they were bloody awesome (first four albums).
They went off the boil after that and it was only Live Aid in 85 that revived them.

Freddie is easily the best frontman I have ever seen live (with Dave Lee Roth in 2nd place).

Fantastic.

There has never been a frontman and singer like Freddie Mercury and I doubt there ever will be.

What an amazing performer and vocalist.
Totally agree. :) I watched Queen Rock Montreal on Blu-ray last night. The quality was stunning and some of the closeups of Freddie were brilliant because you could see how he played the guitar and piano as well as his singing.

RIP Freddie.

Oh and the Muppets cover is utter brilliance. :D

I saw them a couple of times, at Wembley Stadium and Knebworth and Freddie had the entire crowd eating out of the palm of his hand, a superb frontman.

RIP mate.

AIDS/HIV really needs to be cured such a terrible disease. I heard you can even get it from toilet seats!

I was barely alive when Freddie died, definitely not old enough to have even know what a Freddie Mercury was.

Yet, despite not being in the generation that had him, i still know and love his and the bands music.

Not my favourite band though :p

Hope you are still resting in peace Freddie :)
