Right now i have a Phenom II 550BE Unlocked to a Quadcore, 4gb of DDR2 OCZ Ram ( 800mhz ) and an ATi HD4850 and im looking for an upgrade.

This achieves decent results in CoD:MW2 ( which is a game i play at 1650 x 1080 ) and to be quite honest is a good machine ( i built it myself ) but right now im in the position to have enough cash to have the BEST of the best in gaming ( well with a budget of around £2000 )

I have been looking at the pre built stuff from here - with the Crossfired 5870's or the 5970, and im perplexed. So can anyone sort me a built ( pre built or components ) which has everything?

Case, Motherboard, CPU, GFX Card, PSU, Coolers etc etc, and a monitor and Windows 7 OEM?

Im having a look around now but these is so much choice!

Any help is appreciated as always, and the build must be as future proof as possible, never spent this kind of cash on myself - so it needs to make me purr with pride :)

So, £2000 budget, i dont overclock either so a pre OC build would have been a preferred option but im open to pretty much anything atm.

Hi first off I would never buy pre built you pay way over the odds 2nd I would'nt buy a oem win 7 I would pay a bit more and get full retail and with the buget you've got you could build a really awesome rig and still have change my rig in my sig only cost me about £800 and it it's much more fun building your own and pretty easy.

Yeah, I have never bought prebuilt before, and i've actually built quite a few machines with no problems, but its always been budget machines, 200 to 500 quids worth, not 2grand :E

Dont waste your money on a prebuilt that mobo Ive got there got be easiest overclock I've ever done do the research and then spend your money I would go the i7 route intel is going to discontinue the 920 early next year and replace it with the 930 @2.88g for around the same money although the 920 is a good chip .

took the 650 from the 1500 quid gaming rig - i could add the 850W and buy a cheaper monitor, ive always had hannsg ones tho and i like them. Just need 1920x* res, instead of the 1650x1080 my 22inch can do

If I had that much money and had to spend it all... I wouldn't want to have all that power only to play it on some poxy little screen:)

Seriously, get a standard i7 920 setup with a 58XX, then get three screens and play with eyefinity. Anything more powerful than that is overkill if all you do is game... At least the monitors will last you through a few builds.

word of warning getting the i7 950 is pointless
it will clock just as well as the 920 and the 920 is soo much cheaper
anything apart from the 920 is a waste of money
if you wanna spend more get an SSD it is a much more appropriate use for your hard earnied cash

You could get two 5870's in crossfire because it performs much better than a 5970, or for a cheaper version then two 5850's will be better and cheaper than a 5970.

Thanks for the info, i didnt know this and thought the 5970 was indeed just as good. This definately impacts on what decision i make :)

imo spend 900 on the pc upgrading your hdd's to ssd and a new gpu pluss add a 30" montier you wont regret it

I see where your coming from and a 30 inch screen would be great but im actually swaying towards 3 monitor setup posted above - eyefinity @ MW2 would be ******* awesome!

Im also considering just upgrading my PC - add 4gbram, PSU, 5870 and w/e else i need.
