Is it worth getting GRID or Batman if youve already got it on a console?

Not heard of the others except FC2 which Im sure I got with a GFX card...

Not really to be honest, unless you have a full steering wheel + pedal system for Grid, batman isn't really going to be much different on PC to your console

I dont think GRID is one of those racing games that work well with a wheel as it very arcadey on the PS3 (I have a G25) - just thought it looked damn good on the PC. I guess I only thought of Batman cos of Physx extras :p

Company of Heroes, Company of Heroes: Opposing Fronts, Company of Heroes: Tales of Valor, Frontlines™: Fuel of War™, Full Spectrum Warrior, Full Spectrum Warrior: Ten Hammers, Juiced 2: Hot Import Nights, Red Faction, Red Faction Guerrilla, Red Faction II, S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl, Saints Row 2, Titan Quest, Titan Quest - Immortal Throne, Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War - Dark Crusade, Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War - Gold Edition, Warhammer 40K: Dawn of War - Soulstorm, Warhammer® 40,000™: Dawn of War® II

Thats a lot of game for £26.49, still slightly tempted by it even though Ive alread got DOW2, COH gold as well as STALKER on disc...

GRID is terrible with a wheel in my experience. I have a DFP. It's best on a 360 controller.

£3.74 is almost worth getting so I don't need to use the DVD to play online.

ahh thanks so much for this ! wanted to play grid for a while but didnt fancy spending over £10 on it :P ( cheap ass i know ) but can now ! but playing with the 360 controller, do you need a special lead?

tell me about it, ive got all the DoW games on dvd apart from the newest which is like £20 on its own anyway... and also got Stalker and all the company of heroes trilogy on dvd... i think i may just stop buying games outside of steam deals altogether lol.

im trying to resist this pack so much, avoiding the cd-keys every time i clean install and automatic updates through steam is almost worth the £20 quid!

I have a g25 and found GRID quite enjoyable, you just need to spend awhile playing with the settings. Also had it on the xbox and its dire compared to pc

I've spent ages trying to get the DFP to work. The G25 seems to have more success, I don't know why.

The problem with the wheel is it's not responsive enough, you can't change direction quickly enough (maybe the G25 is better for this), and if you tweak it, it still behaves like a controller joystick compared to a wheel. I can never get as fast as I can with a 360 pad. I think the arcadey fashion which is required of driving (to be fast) does not lend itself to the smooth movements of a wheel.

Already had grid but bought it anyway just to keep in my steam folder :)

That big games pack is so tempting, Can you imagine how much HD space that would take up!

BTW a stupid question before I start buying - once bought it doesnt matter when you dl it for the first time? Is that the same for recieved gifts? I dont game on my PC that much...

Nope, doesn't matter at all. It'll stay on your account even if you never download it.
