Steam, 50% off Arkham Asylum (plus a few others)

Im also sorely tempted by the THQ pack, but what im going to do is wait and see the daily offers, if i havnt bought any, buy the THQ pack on the last day.

Lol, I'm exactly the same. The wife just sighs now when I tell her about the latest great deal on Steam.

I tried a while ago but the online system is rubbish. The votekick system is useless and due to no CD keys or anything with the retail version it is utterly infested with cheating.

Only worth it if you can get a big group together and play in some private races.

edit - why was the first day 2 days long? The counter is still over 24 hours before Day 2 deals :p

Haha I'm the same too. I was looking through my games the other day and I have Mass Effect, Crysis, a Tomb Raider game (I forget which one!) and a few others which I've forgotten about which I haven't even touched let alone started. I don't even want to think about all of the games I've played for a short while and not gone back too! :eek:

Good Plan - tempted by both packs though I have all the proper Star Wars stuff and the CoH and DoW games and expansions...

Cant justify the extras...

I easily have 50+ games untouched over PC/PS3..

Because they need to get everybody aware that the sale is on. Once folks have read about it on the news sites or seen it in Steam or on forums, etc. they will then check back each day.

Crikey. I thought I was bad. I've stopped buying console games now, just rent them. And if I like the game then I'll buy it on Steam. I think I've got about 20 that I haven't played yet. :D

All these sales must cost Valve an absolute fortune in bandwidth costs.

In the days of the Amiga, I used to collect disks (games), had over 700 at one point.... hardly ever played any of them but I kept swapping and trading with mates for some reason..

Now the above (piracy) is bad, obviously... But these days I seem to be buying games and not playing them, which from a personal point of view is much worse!

But I guess at least thats some sort of comeback for the developers and very ironic for me.
 
I hope Fallout 3 is one of the games coming up with a price drop. I still haven't played it yet. And the Oblivion deluxe pack is another one I want.

Very unadvisable. Morrowind is fine over Steam but Oblivion no. The way the mods turned after Oblivion means to apply them to the Steam version you'd need to hack the encryptions or something which the makers of the script extender refuse to do (obviously). So if you got it over Steam you'd regret it because you miss out on all the best mods and moddability is what makes TSE games great.
