STS-129 Shuttle Mission to the International Space Station Launches Monday 19:28 GMT

Today’s space walk will probably be shortened because the crew were woken by another a false depressurization alarm for the second night running. The spacewalk is due to start at 13:18 GMT.

Change of plans:

The astronauts were woken up today at 09:58 GMT with “Voyage to Atlantis” by the Isley Brothers. This was thirty minutes later than planned because of the false alarm.

So the spacewalk has now been shortened is will now start later the planned at 14:38 GMT.

:)

Another successful spacewalk completed, two down and one to go tomorrow:

Flight plan for flight day 7:

• Crew off duty time

• Spacewalk 3 procedure review

• Spacewalk 3 campout in Quest airlock by Satcher and Bresnik

The astronauts were woken up today at 07:58 GMT with "Butterfly Kisses" by Bob Carlisle.

Just like most of us the crew are having a day-off.

Have a good one. :)

Abigail Mae Bresnik is Born

Space shuttle Atlantis Mission Specialist Randy Bresnik is a new father.

At 11:14 a.m. GMT, Bresnik called Mission Control and announced the birth of his daughter. Abigail Mae Bresnik arrived at 05:04 GMT Saturday, Nov. 21 in Houston, TX. He reported his wife Rebecca and baby are doing well. He also thanked the flight control team and flight surgeon for their support and assistance.

This is the second time a baby has been born to an American astronaut during his spaceflight. Mike Fincke’s daughter was born in June 2004 while he was aboard the International Space Station.

Lovely landing :) love the two extremes between the launch and landing with the shuttle, you get the violence and sheer awe of the launch combined with the peace and calm and almost serene nature of the landing.
