Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic - £1.76, Worth it?

Related note, since I'm getting it, are there any recommended patches/mods/graphics for people playing through the first time? I know there's a certain element of 'play it through how it was meant to be' first, but if there's things like high res textures and so on available, I'd like to play with them all. Maximum pretties.
Community bugfixes and so on are good if they make the game more balanced, and so on.

Nah. Widescreen mod and your good to go. Still looks quite pretty.

I got it, even if its not worth it the price says it has to be.

Obviously to me it will be as i like star wars.

Its absolutely worth it. I bought it for £6 recently on Steam and it was worth every penny at that. All I wanted to do was experience the history before I start on SWTOR, but I got one helluva gaming experience that I'd missed out on.

One Note: It runs terribly under Vista. It crashes to desktop frequently and can corrupt your save game occasionally. Nothing to do with your hardware, just imcompatibilities with Vista that Bioware refuse to fix.

Save often, save all the time and make both proper and quick saves incase you go to save, it crashes and corrupts the save your saving over.

Despite this, I really enjoyed my gaming experience with SW:KOTOR

YESSSSSSSSS!!

THANK YOU!!!!

I lost Disc 1 for KOTOR ages ago and have been itching to play it again since I never fully completed it!

Awesome!

Its an average game in my opinion, i find the combat to slow and repetitive.

Erm it's an rpg.

And btw what makes this game epic is the storyline, dialogue and characters. Not the gameplay. Also it helps to be in a 'starwarsy' mood beforehand. So I recommend watching the original trilogy.

No, its because Lucasarts don't let developers finish\patch SW licensed games.

While im not really a star wars fan and also just bought the thq pack, is this one worth getting anyway at this price for someone with just a passing interest?
