Well... that depends. Were their moulds any good?

Reminds me of the Findus fire, i can still see the damage during my commute. Fire can really damage a business.
 
What kit is that exactly? It has one of the best interiors that i've seen so far... mot of them just look like you're sitting inside the Sierra. First thing i'd have to do would be to get some decent seats, do something to the dash and get a wooden steering wheel.
 
Hmm, i guess the thing with it being so light is that you need downforce to actually get power on the road. Should draft some engineers from Lotus in :)
 
Actually, a lighter car means less mass to accelerate, plus the tyre grip coefficient drops as loading increases (ie: tyres are most efficient at providing a level of grip per unit of downwards force at least load) Which means a light car has far less traction issues than a heavier car!

Done. How is/was it to build/drive? Looks great though.

May i inquire as to what the 'sticker' is on the left, under the Westfield tag?
 
i quite fancy the idea behind a kit car but one question - which one?

my criteria is as follows:
drop top/no roof (summer car only but must have optionof a felt roof for storage)
engine - must be reasonably common and cheap to maintain ie OHV/Cossy motor etc
rear wheel drive for cost/weight/fun
price - ideally as low as poss but needs to be as easy to build with access to tools found in a grage (not a worksop so no specialist toold etc).
 
Yeah, you'd be after a 7. Cheapest 7 based kit is probably the Zero, which uses a Sierra Donor. The kit on it's own is about 1750 quid. Then you've got your Westfield and Caterhams, which are a bit more but you don't pay the premium for nothing... then there's lots in between but i'm not really qualified to tell you about those :p

Did you hear what James said in Top Gear? Knowing what he's like he's clearly going to go off and build one now :)
