3.0's dont cost any more, have better wheels, more spec and a better engine and cost nothing more to run

800 quid to insure a 2.5 litre Z4 at under 21 seems like a bargain, I was paying more than to insure my 530i at 22 :confused:

I knew they existed but I've not read or found out much about the non SE Z4. I guess you have things like manual seats, no rain sensor etc?

SE trim didn't exist in 2003 MY - believe it was 2004 MY onwards

That said they had a healthy spec list (or certainly came with a lot on the 3.0i as standard).

I'd consider fitting a sound generator if your 2.5 does not have one, for something so simple it adds a lot of nice noises into the cabin - particularly with the small middle piece of foam removed
