this could mean you get the best prime cow/pig and use that to grow your bog standard bacon![]()
Thats what I'm thinking. In theory, you could consistently grow the best meat the human race has ever seen.
Bear in mind though that the best quality food doesnt necessarily sell the most. I remember the furore with genetically modified vegetables - these vegetables were genetically enhanced to look better and resist rot, for longer. In theory these vegetables should be seen as a god send, however, proved not to be the case. Perhaps GM foods have arrived a little too early for some people to accept.
Personally, if I could, I would only eat GM foods, as I know that they have modified to deliver a better product. And I like better products.
Could this herald in the age of the real, "Push button get bacon"?
Is this the end for vegiterians then ? what reason would there be to be one?

I wouldn't, it won't taste any good I'd bet my life on it.
An animal needs to mature and age properly, not be grown in a lab in a few weeks, killed and stuck on the plate. Intensively farmed water injected rubbish is bad enough, don't understand why you'd pay money for that rubbish, tastes like crap in comparison to proper meat and shrinks a lot.
More realistic solution is to turn the obese into Soylent Green.
not liking the taste of meat?
he means in the sense that they're close to the ground and poop everywhere, granted, I know pigs are actually clean animals, they have a designated pooping area and are in theory cleaner than cows, but it's not my religion or view, so it's not for me to debate, and I'm certainly not going to be one of those people trying to force beliefs on someone because their religion is "wrong" as some people would lol![]()
That's just pure fail. Who doesn't like the taste of meat?
The ones who claim to be vegetarians, but that eat fish really irritate me! Crazy fools!

So far the scientists have not tasted it, but they believe the breakthrough could lead to sausages and other processed products being made from laboratory meat in as little as five years’ time.
