Make sure you try the game in "windowed mode" as this solved all problems for me. Not had a crash since, as I was getting one every 5mins when playing.
I'll be on all tonight, if anyone wants a game

I can't get in far enough to do that anymore :/ I used to be able to but now it crashes instantly after the intro video.
just bought this last night totally noobie at L4D what do i need to know?
Thats probably better than being stuck on L4D1 tactics. Trying to camp while you fend off the horde = death from Spitter goo if your not careful. Theres not really much you can say other than learn to listen for the infected and pick things up as you go along. That and sit bloody still, this isn't MW, strafing gets you shot in the arse by teammates

Well if your talking about versus i would say
When your Boomer don't spawn early (they will hear you and kill you) and don't spawn behind survivors(a certain few times you might get away with it).Always ahead.
If you press the jump button after a charge you cancel it meaning you will be able to move away quicker to charge again.
Never go off on your own , always have at least 1 team mate in shooting range.
Im sure others can add to this.

I think you can just add -windowed to the launch options.

Also, is anyone around for VS? I'm really tired of finding only one out of every five pubs has halfway competent players of both sides.

Update: Windowed mode sets correctly but doesn't resolve the issue. El sucko :/
