I recently installed Windows 7 and noticed that the inbuilt 'image preview' showed images with a reduced quality. It looks to me as if its showing images in 'high colour' (16bit) as opposed to 'True colour' (32bit) even though my display settings are set to true colour.
Just opening the image in paint or any other graphics software confirms my display is set to true colour, so I guess image preview does this in the name of loading time or something, which is very nice, but where is the option to set it to 32bit if I prefer the quality to the speed?
(And yes I do use other image previewers/explorers, like BreezeBrowser, but the inbuilt image preview has always been a good quick way of viewing specific images when using explorer, and I find stuff like Adobe Bridge much slower in comparison.)
