So having used ATI for a number of years I have suddenly bought a bad card from what the forum says - 9500GT / 1GB. One of the best games/simms I have ever played was FS2004 but you know what really ****** me off? ... This attitude that ATI xxxx makes a better card. Why? The PS3 can deliver more for less, so where are you coming from? So im running a 9500GT @ 650MHz - probably a fraction of most of the card's on here, but *if* your are a gamer, then you will use the PS3 ! Purchase the best card and you know what? - 6 months time there will be a better card! Too much attitude on this forum tbf.

9500GT is an awful card though.

People prefer to play at native 1080p not this upscaleld shiz.

People like to mod there games

People like the mouse controls over joysticks

The 9500GT is an 'awful card' - why? If your GPU's are so fast, then why aren't you playing them? Sorry but I cannot justify £100+ on a GPU when one can buy a PS3 !

I signed up to figure how to clock my E4500. NO SWEARING guys seem to be 'mine is bigger than yours' mentality. Sorry but that's how I see it.

Sorry Rroff - if the PS3 can't play it, what can? lol ! An ATI card? lol !

As far as my comments go - I mean to properly play and enjoy an FPS game to its full potential you really need keyboard + mouse...

If you want to get into PC gaming then you really are gonna have to spend a minimum of £65 on a GPU, £50-60 on a CPU, £60 on a motherboard, etc. and really you want around £100 on the GPU... thats the way it is.

What bother's me - unless you have the 'latest card' then you are **** on this forum and I appreciate the Technical skills of the forum members =O[ There's nowt wrong with my 9500GT but clearly not up to scratch !

Rroff thanks for speaking sense ! My mate (who is a heavy gamer) put me on to this card. It's not that bad Shirley? lol !

Depends what games you play at the end of the day and the resolution, if it plays what you want it to play at a resolution you are happy with and performs well, then its the card for you ... its as simple as that really, don't matter what anyone else thinks.

I don't really understand what this post is trying to get across or do ... am I alone here

I think I get it tho it took awhile... people on here are quite scathing when someone buys a low end card and from his perspective it looks like one up manship - which partly it is - but partly people are enthusiasts and possibily slightly idealistic - but think the money could be spent better with a few more quid added on.

9500GT realistically is a card for media PC/light gaming i.e. for sims, and that kinda game.

If you want to get into gaming proper your gonna need something like a GT240, 9800GT or ATI 4850/4770... but that kinda money could also get you into console gaming so you have to decide whats best for you.

If you keep the resolution to around 1024x768 tho as I think someone else mentioned you can play most games at medium settings on the 9500GT.

Fireblade2K4 thank's for the advice. To be honest I am just getting into gaming.. my mate and me always liked FS2004 so I guess I just wanted a better experience. My mate told me to get the 9500GT and he play's a right few games! It's clocked @ 650MHz but I can't do much else as I don't know how to clock or do it properly! Regs; Phil
