Borderlands

Level 32 now, almost done I think. I'm glad since it's becoming annoying (and pretty easy), gunning down endless upon endless spiderants and bandits does tire.

it wierd, you end up way overpowered on playthrough 1 but on playthrough 2 even at level 48 in old haven they can mince you in seconds!

Played it, love it and now I cant pull myself away from Borderlands to play MOD2!
 
started playing this a few days ago and absolutley loving it on co-op :)

strugling to work out the best skills build for the soldier at the moment but then i'm also not finding it that difficult so far so not really worried.
 
I joined a game with an American guy the other night I was on level 43 and within about 10 mins I was up to level 50, everytime he was killing stuff I was getting anywhere from 2k to 30k for XP, it was crazy. He was talking about modded weapons which was how he was killing level 50 odd guardians etc in 1 or 2 shots. He gave me a shot of a combat rifle that was 3000 for damage and was rapid fire :eek: I've no idea if all this was nonsense or not but it was impressive compared to my weapons.

Great game overall.
 
Is anyone still playing this? I'm level 50 now and done my second playthrough. I got chatting to a random and he had amazing weapons - he got them by having a group of people with class mods like rare items + 2 etc.

Anyone wanna play some time?
 
Got to say I am not impressed by this so far. Tried it as the hunter guy first, sniper rifle seems really useless, couldn't aim at those little dogs for ****! Then when I lined it up for a headshot on an unaware guard sometimes it would just do no damage :confused:

Then I got to the first boss and got utterly destroyed, he sent some dog things after me and despite emptying an entire clip of pistol ammo into one it still didn't die and killed me in a couple of bites, the combat just seems a bit unbalanced!! Is there no difficulty setting anywhere?

I've started again as a soldier as he may have more armour than a ballet dancer
 
How do you level up though? This is before I get choice with missions.

Anyway I restarted with a soldier and I'm enjoying it much more. Actually got some weapon drops this time (didn't get any with my sniper? maybe i was just unlucky)

Anyway a 99 damage sniper rifle killed the boss in 2 shots :) (last time i was using the 26 damage started rifle!!) also found a meaty shotgun although only 2 rounds between reloads, those frikkin dogs that he has as pets still took 3 shotgun round each at point blank range + my turret thing firing at them!
 
Do people still play this in co-op? Be great to try a 4 player game or something. Damn, I shouldn't rent games like this, I just know I'll end up buying it :p
